"Colors, Awake!" is a mobile device app that helps you turn an ordinary photo into a piece of art with minimum effort. It works with you to select areas within a photo as intelligently as it can. By simple taps on the screen of your device, you select the area where the original color of the photo will be kept while the rest of the photo will be turned into black and white, so that the selected area or object will stand out from the less interesting background. The app utilizes the research results from areas such as image processing and pattern recogition and adjusts its behavior continuously based on user interactions.
